LES GRANDES GRANDES VACANCES is a video essay connected to the pandemic and three islands.
When the pandemic came, some people hid on their private islands to have an extremely long vacation, some are addicted to virtual island life in a newly-launched computer game. Meanwhile, those former tourist attraction islands are now empty and no one really cares.
When the pandemic came, some people hid on their private islands to have an extremely long vacation, some are addicted to virtual island life in a newly-launched computer game. Meanwhile, those former tourist attraction islands are now empty and no one really cares.
A story about the past and the present, the linguistic connection between island, isolation and plague. And many questions to the audience as well as to the future. We all are on the island.
