♪me and my motherland♪

A flat panel display is placed on the floor of a corner in the room, on the screen were a pair of feet, moving unmindfully with the soft humming from a female voice - "♪me and my motherland♪" transposes the private situation to a public exhibition space. The overlying video taken from the TV news and the lyrics later appear on the screen give the clue to the melody, suggesting that it belongs actually to a Chinese patriotic anthem, articulating the deviation of private personal memory from the official grand state-narrative in an intuitive perceptual way.
