This Could Be Us (after Félix)
two thermo-hygrometers from the same brand with somehow (always) different display data,

One day, I bought a pack of 4 cheap thermo-hygrometers for the bathroom on Amazon. After installing one on the wall, I somehow decided to unpack another and put it up as well. 
“This reminds me of Félix Gonzalez-Torres’s clocks,” my partner said.
Soon we noticed that the two meters always showed slightly different readings. Never know which one is more precise; maybe they both are (or not).
I said: this could be us. 
It was no surprise that the meters were made in China. That, along with their imprecision, made me feel an odd sense of intimacy - synchronicity is an illusion, we could never perceive the same and would never be the same.
Félix Gonzalez-Torres is the artist who made me decide to become an artist. All the works I made are after Félix.
